For over a century, the City of Charleston Fire Department has stood as a guardian of our community. What began as a handful of dedicated men answering calls from a central station has grown into a professional force of 130+ firefighters, paramedics, and support staff.
We respond to more than fires — we answer when neighbors need help, when emergencies strike without warning, and when the most vulnerable among us cannot protect themselves. Every shift, every call, every decision is guided by one principle: the people of Charleston deserve nothing less than our very best.
